DINOSAURS! Coming October 2009! Nine amazing and lifelike robotic creatures, including the multi-plated Stegosaurus, will take you back millions of years. Hear them roar and watch them feed and care for their young. See the Pteranodon, the prehistoric sky king, whose wingspread was as wide as a soccer goal. Find out which dinosaur had eyes as big as soccer balls and possibly binocular vision. Understand how the horn-faced Triceratops protected itself from attackers and how much time the peaceful Apatosaurus may have spent in the water and why. All it takes is a trip to the Museum, where these prehistoric pedestrians are enjoying the right of way.

    28th Annual Next-to-Last Armageddon & MasquerAID Ball
    (850)224-6163
    The 621 Gallery
621 Industrial Dr. Tallahassee FL 32310

This is 621 Gallery's oldest running annual non-juried all media exhibition. In its 28th year, Armageddon celebrates the rule of misrule by offering the Gallery walls to local and emerging artists. The exhibition is historically placed near Halloween and the reception is done in the dark with only flashlights for illumination. Many arrive in costumes and the result is a fun and funky event filled with eclectic artwork and eccentric clientele. Stay after the exhibit for the MasquerAID Ball. A fundraiser for 621 Gallery, the MasquerAID Ball will be a Halloween celebration involving a Zombie Crawl, Costume Contests and a surreal audience immersion performance based on the Edgar Allan Poe short story, The Mask of the Red Death, the SteamPunk version.
    Free to the public
